The three most noteworthy features include: 1. Smart Corners - We have groups of 3-5 athletes on the trampoline at a time and previously, they'd have to sit on the padding overtop the springs. This led to uneven bounce by the jumper, the padding would come loose and get unorganized, and occasionally the smaller kids would get bounced around by a larger athlete. No longer! The Acon X has additional framing bits that attach securely in the corners to provide a place to stand, sit, or store your belongings. This maximizes the jumping space for the athlete, and ensures additional safety for other participants. 2. The Full-Zip Netting - Most trampoline nets drape from the poles and then you run a string around the base to secure it. This can leave gaps in the enclosure or even lead to premature ripping if it's too tight or not tight enough. With the Acon X, the net is modular (meaning each side is actually a separate unit, rather than one big net wrapping around) and the bottoms actually zip into the spring padding. You then run extra bungees around it all to ensure virtually zero chance of sliding out underneath. We used to have some squirrelly kids that would sneak out under the net where it was loose with our previous enclosure 😂 no more! 3. Frame Stability - Besides the fantastic bounce, Acon is known for producing high-quality, long-lasting trampoline frames. Most trampolines have legs that produce a slightly non-rectangular base, so they're not as stable as they could be. The Acon X is a truly rectangular base, providing extra stability for even the biggest tricks and athletes. Powder-coated galvanized steel also ensures durability, whether you've got it indoors like this, or out in the backyard in all-weather environments. Honorable Mention - we love the Safe Mat innovation, which includes a 2 inch foam barrier that gets velcroed near the springs. That, plus the mat overhang that covers about half of the springs, ensures that it's much more difficult to get any limbs into the pinch zone! We run classes all week long and see hundreds of athletes each week. With that level of use and on a small business budget, the best option for us is Acon, whose customer service, well-stocked inventory of replacement parts, and fast shipping make for a great customer experience. And for the SERIOUS flippers, you can also get the Height Kit, along with the performance mat-and-spring bundle. The X sits at 3.5 feet standard (from ground to the mat) and the Height Kit adds another 6 inches to bring the jumping mat 4 feet off the ground. Those extra few inches make all the difference when you're sending quad fulls and triple back flips! (And P.S., the X can also be lowered to 2 ft for young children!
