About This Video

Well hey there folks—Vlad from ReviewOutdoorGear here, coming to you from the beautiful Westfjords of Iceland. In this video I’m reviewing the Cotopaxi Coso 2L Hip Pack (crossbody/hip pack/fanny pack—whatever you want to call it) because I’ve been using it a bunch on this trip and I actually like it quite a bit. I go over the materials, the strap and sturdy clip, and how the pack is set up for real use on trail and around town. I break down the pocket layout and what I’m carrying: the main compartment opens wide and I’ve been fitting my DJI Mavic drone and controller in there with room for extras. The zippers are “inside out” with the more water-resistant side facing out, so they do a solid job keeping out dust and moisture (just don’t confuse that with fully waterproof). I also show the padded back sleeve (great for a phone or glasses—mine stayed scratch-free thanks to the felt liner), the rear zip pocket that rides close to your body, and the quick-access external pocket. My favorite way to wear it is crossbody and rotated to my back so it’s out of the way, then I just swing it around when I need something. The only real downside for me is the price—around $55—but Cotopaxi’s “gear for good” background is worth mentioning, because they do a lot of good work as a not-for-profit. As always, thanks for watching—and don’t forget to praise God for this beautiful nature we have.
