About This Video

In this video, I’m checking out how MSI wants to take good care of your OLED screen with their upgraded OLED Care 2.0 system. Burn-in is still the big scary word for OLED monitors, especially if you’re the kind of gamer who can go 16 hours straight (or more). The main upgrade here is simple but super practical: MSI pushed the panel “repair” reminder from 16 hours to 24 hours, so you can game longer without getting that annoying popup in the middle of a session. I also walk through a few MPG monitors that were in front of me, including a 27-inch QD-OLED 4K 240Hz option, and another model that can switch modes—either 4K 160Hz or Full HD at 320Hz. I compare that experience to a mini LED monitor too: it’s still very bright and crisp, but without that super glossy QD-OLED look (and honestly, I sometimes prefer that). Then there’s the “special” one: a 27-inch QD-OLED 500Hz monitor, which is just crazy for high-refresh gaming. On top of OLED Care 2.0, I also mention an upgraded feature where a smart camera can detect a real human presence—so if nobody’s in front of the monitor, it turns off to help protect the panel and kick in the care system.
