It’s finally my turn to take a look at Nvidia’s new RTX 50-series, and in this video I tested the AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 MASTER—because honestly, I haven’t been hearing much good things about the 5080. Gigabyte passed me the card (thank you Grace and Gigabyte), so I went through the full experience: the massive box, what’s included (12V-2x6 to triple 8-pin adapter, GPU holder parts, and that optional 120mm exhaust fan), and a detailed look at the design. This card is huge—about 36cm long and roughly 3.5-slot thick—and yes, it’s a total fingerprint magnet. Then I jumped into performance with the limited time I had, comparing mostly against an RTX 4080. In Cyberpunk 2077, raster performance was clearly faster (1440p and 4K), but ray tracing gains without AI help weren’t mind-blowing. The real “magic button” is multi-frame generation on RTX 50: once you turn that on, the 5080 can push way higher FPS than the 4080. On the productivity side though, my Blender results were pretty disappointing—only about 2.8% faster. Thermals and noise were solid: around early 60°C in gaming and early 50s in productivity, with quiet fans. The extra exhaust fan only helped about ~2°C, and I’m not a fan of how flimsy the mounting pads feel. My takeaway: cool-looking card, but at ~SGD 2469 / USD 2599, it’s hard to justify for pure gaming—unless you really want the newest features like multi-frame generation.
