In this video, I reacted to the second GTA VI trailer and yeah—I’m very impressed. The big core element I noticed throughout the entire trailer is ray tracing. You can see it in the way light bounces off characters, buildings, and water puddles, and it’s not that harsh “gamey” look either—it’s softer and more diffused, especially when there’s dust mixed into the light. That’s the kind of lighting that makes scenes feel closer to real life, and it’s way more prevalent here compared to the first trailer. I also talked about the big question: was this captured on console or PC? Rockstar hasn’t dropped any recommended PC specs yet, but if this is PC footage, I’m hoping it’s a signal that we’ll be able to push higher FPS and stronger ray tracing with proper GPUs. Consoles are solid, but custom PCs let you choose your graphics card based on budget, and right now NVIDIA still has the edge for ray tracing performance thanks to DLSS (especially DLSS 4.0 and multi-frame generation on RTX 50). AMD’s catching up and can be great price-to-performance with newer RX cards, but ray tracing still lags behind. Beyond visuals, I liked the bigger world scope, more humanlike character models, and the detailed interiors. Mouth-to-speech animation still needs work, and some water blues look a bit washed out, but overall I’m glad the game is delayed—more time to polish, and I don’t expect a Cyberpunk-style launch disaster.
