About This Video

There’s a lot of new and old stuff at MSI, so in this Computex 2025 walk-through I brought you around to see what they’re showing—custom PCs, DIY parts, and a really interesting monitor lineup. I started with MSI’s pre-built DIY-style rigs, like the clean all-white “fish tank” build (X670 Tomahawk + 9700X) with that clever bottom-to-top power cable routing, and then jumped to the all-black MPG build that’s hiding a 5090 Suprim Liquid. I’m a sucker for good aesthetics, and MSI’s demo systems this year were basically “pick your theme and commit.” For monitors, I focused on MSI’s OLED Care updates because burn-in is always the big question with QD-OLED. OLED Care 2.0 now refreshes at a 24-hour interval (up from 16), so you can game longer before the panel maintenance kicks in. I also checked out the MPG 27-inch 4K 240Hz QD-OLED, plus a mini-LED option that looks less reflective, and then the crazy 500Hz OLED with OLED Care 3.0—complete with a camera that can turn the monitor off when no real human is in front of it. On the DIY side, my favorite practical improvement was MSI’s “pin safe” motherboard design with a flatter back—huge for reviewers like me who handle boards constantly and don’t want to get poked by solder points. And yes, MSI even surprised me with fantasy-style keyboards that react with ARGB when you press them.
