I got my hands on the Montech HS01, and this is my first back-connect capable case that can also do a reverse PC build. In this video, I unbox it, strip it down into a bare chassis, and show you all the important bits—front support for 3x150mm or 2x140mm (or a 360mm rad), top support for up to 3x120mm (or 360mm rad), and the rear area where you can run 2x120mm if you remove the cover. I also walk through the dual-chamber layout, the cable cutouts for BTF/back-connect boards, the front I/O (2x Type-A, 1x Type-C, audio, power, and an “LED” button that I’m pretty sure is actually reset), plus the ARGB strips and that mystery 5V 3-pin cable. Then I build in it step-by-step, including the “reverse” transformation where you relocate the magnetic feet to the other side. I also share the real-world gotchas: some covers flex, thick fans can stop you from reinstalling panels, and there’s no fan controller in this HS01 (the Pro version should have it). My big takeaway is the HS01 is straightforward to build in, relatively light (nice for flipping during a reverse build), and the recessed bottom fan area is genuinely cool for clearance and aesthetics. At around 120 SGD (about $100), it’s a solid mid-range case if you want the option of reverse + standard builds, and BTF + non-BTF compatibility.
