Here are some of the best and the worst fragrances I tried in 2025. What are your favourites and disappointments of the year?
About This Video
Hi guys, in this video I’m rounding up my best and worst fragrance experiences from 2025 (even though we’re already in January 2026). I picked three scents that absolutely impressed me and three that, honestly, didn’t meet my expectations for very different reasons. And because I wanted to end on a good note, I started with the disappointments—fragrances that weren’t necessarily “bad,” but just didn’t give me that wow factor I was hoping for.
For the fails, I talk about why Elie Saab Elixir Love let me down despite my love for the original Elixir, how Valentino Donna Born in Roma Extra Dose felt too similar to other flankers (nice, but not unique), and why Black Opium Glitter lost the bold character that makes Black Opium worth buying in the first place. Then I share my top three: Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Intense (seductive vanilla-cardamom with a bright/dark contrast), Chloé Nomade Lumière d’Égypte (warm, spicy, yet airy thanks to blue lotus), and Marc Jacobs Perfect Elixir (a cozy, indulgent plum-and-honey wintery version that I’m genuinely excited about). Let me know if you agree—or completely disagree—because fragrance is so personal.
