In today’s video I’m tackling a whole-house declutter + organize day, and I’m bringing you along for the motivation (because if you’ve been putting it off… same). We’ve only been in this house for about three months, so a lot of things got “shoved somewhere” during move-in, and now it’s time to actually give everything a real home. I start in my dining room/sideboard area, restock my coffee setup (I’m an avid coffee drinker), and talk through how I’m trying to keep certain zones super intentional—like making this cabinet strictly “kitchen items” so I’m not staring at random clutter every day. Then we move outside for a quick patio reset and cleaning, and after that I jump into the big project: my pantry/“food closet.” It’s technically a coat closet we converted with simple boards and brackets, and it’s been a lifesaver for our family of six since our actual kitchen pantry is tiny. I decant snacks into clear containers so my kids can see what they need and grab quickly, and I set up zones for coffee, drinks, kid snacks, and tall appliances like my mixer and Instant Pot. We finish by decluttering the main living spaces (hello, fireplace ledge pile) so everything feels fresh, clean, and way more manageable.
