About This Video

In this video I had ChatGPT do my color analysis, and it told me I’m a Soft Autumn—so of course I had to take that info straight to the thrift store and actually test it. I’m shopping with a mission: focus on those softer, warm, muted tones that are supposed to flatter my hair, features, and skin tone best. Instead of grabbing random cute pieces like I normally do, I’m being way more intentional and using the Soft Autumn “rules” as a guide while I thrift. I head to Hope of the Mission Thrift in San Diego (3222 University Ave) and thrift specifically with this palette in mind—think earthy, toned-down colors rather than anything super bright or icy. The whole point is to see if dressing for my season makes thrifting easier (and outfits more wearable), plus it’s just a fun challenge that forces me to try shades I might normally skip. If you’ve ever been curious about color analysis but don’t want to spend a ton of money, this is a super approachable way to start experimenting—especially if you love putting together secondhand outfits like I do.
