Hey guys, welcome back to the ProjectDIY channel. In this one I’m installing a Dasaita/“Decida” G12 Android head unit in my 2016 Camry, and I’m doing it specifically so I can compare it to the RODANV Android stereo I put in a while back. I’m not re-showing the whole dash disassembly because it’s the same process as my earlier Camry video, but I do walk through what’s in the box and how the wiring and modules go together so you can see where the differences might be. I unbox the unit, go over the harness, the CAN bus module (steering wheel controls and some vehicle info), the USB adapters, GPS antenna, optional 4G/SIM setup, and the audio/video outputs (including a dedicated subwoofer output you can control in the settings). I also point out the unit has HDMI out, which is pretty cool if you wanted to feed another screen. Once it’s wired up, I power it on and show the interface, Z-Link for wireless CarPlay, EQ/amp controls, wheel key study, and the Android app side with Play Store and apps like Google Maps, Spotify, Waze, Netflix, etc. Fit and finish looked good when it was back together, and like most Android units I’ve used, I expect the audio to be solid—then we end it the right way by peeling the screen sticker.
