Hey guys, welcome back to ProjectDIY. In this one I’m fixing a few issues with my RAV4 after I “crashed” it… not really LOL. We got snow and ice here in Kentucky back in January, and out in the country our roads don’t get salted or scraped. I was on my way to work, slid right out of the road, and ended up in a ditch. At first glance it didn’t look like it did much, I got it pulled out and drove it home, but I quickly found some hidden damage. The inner fender liner got yanked out during the pull, my windshield washer bottle was smashed (I found out the hard way when the fluid went straight onto my feet), and the closeout panel under the front got ripped out too. So today I pull the wheel, loosen up the bumper enough to get access, replace the washer bottle, reuse the Toyota pump because I need the dual outlet (front and rear), and test it before buttoning everything back up. I also install an aftermarket fender liner that honestly didn’t fit that great—lesson learned: on Toyotas, OEM parts usually save you the headache. Then I finish up by reinstalling the underbody closeout panel and getting the front end back together.
