There have been several comments on the install video of the Dasaita G12 head unit in my wife's 2016 Camry about not being able to get the back up camera to work. I didn't realize it at the time but our's wasn't working either! Let's take care of that issue! About This Video

In this project I’m troubleshooting the backup camera on the Dasaita G12 head unit I installed in my wife’s 2016 Camry. I thought the install was solid, but I started getting a bunch of comments from you guys saying your backup camera wouldn’t work—and then my wife told me ours wasn’t working either. When I put the car in reverse, all I got was that little yellow “no signal” symbol, which basically means the radio isn’t seeing any camera feed at all. I pull the head unit back out and show you exactly what the issue was on my setup: I simply didn’t hook up the camera RCA connection. There are two yellow RCA plugs labeled “camera,” and you’ve gotta connect the head unit’s “camera in” to the correct one. I tried the first one—nope—then swapped to the other and the camera popped right up. I also mention a couple other troubleshooting options Dasaita support sent me (and a battery disconnect trick that worked on my RAV4 before), but for my Camry the fix was just plugging in the right camera RCA. Button it back up, test it again in reverse, and we’re good to go—Shonda should be happy now.
