In this video I’m taking you along for a quick, no-BS review of the Marriott Munich—because I picked it for very specific “value” reasons: it’s close to the highway, parking is affordable, and you’re in the city center fast via the U6. First impressions were honestly great: the lobby and bar area are freshly renovated and feel modern, and check-in was smooth with proper elite recognition. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite I even got a proactive upgrade to a Junior Suite, which I definitely appreciated for the extra space. Now, the suite itself wasn’t renovated yet, and you can see it in the style—dated furniture and a bathroom that felt a bit cramped with a tub (I’d much rather have a walk-in shower). But the condition was still excellent, and I loved having an in-room espresso machine. The hotel also does a few things really well: an “Elite Zone” concept (instead of a full M Lounge) with self-serve drinks and snacks, Brita water stations on every floor, plus pool, hot tub, and gym downstairs. Add a strong breakfast with Bavarian classics like Weißwurst, sweet mustard and pretzels, and a solid meal at Champions Sports Bar, and for the price vs. central Munich properties—yeah, I’d happily return.
