In this video I review Air France’s brand-new Airbus A350-900 Business Class on the flight from Mexico City (MEX) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). The hard product is genuinely gorgeous: that sleek French cabin design, the new suite with a sliding door, a huge 4K screen, and (especially in row 10) absolutely ridiculous legroom. I also show the lounge situation at MEX, my seat tour, dinner and breakfast, bed mode, the lavatory setup, IFE and Wi‑Fi, plus a quick stop at the Air France Schengen Business Lounge at CDG. But the big theme is: not everything worked the way it should on a “brand new” flagship. My window seat 10A was marked faulty and couldn’t be assigned, and my actual seat (10D) had issues like a headrest that wouldn’t lock and a seat-control tablet that kept crashing. Bluetooth audio support was there on paper, but it didn’t work with my AirPods Pro or AirPods Max, and the wireless charging pad was the usual finicky, slow experience. My takeaway: Air France nailed the visuals and the seat concept, but the soft product didn’t match—service felt minimal even with a light cabin. I’d still fly it again (especially if I can snag those front-row seats), but I’d be hoping for a more polished execution next time.
