In Part 2 of this PC build series, I’m walking you through what to do after the hardware is together so your golf simulator PC actually runs the way it should. This is the “boring” part that people skip… and then they wonder why their sim stutters, their RGB is freaking out, or Windows is doing Windows things. I go step-by-step: getting Windows installed, getting the right motherboard drivers from ASUS (not just whatever Windows auto-grabs), and making sure the core stuff is stable before you start chasing settings. From there I cover the apps that control the parts most people buy for a sim build—fans, lighting, and the GPU. I’m using L-Connect for the Lian Li fans, iCUE for Corsair gear, and Zotac Firestorm for the graphics card side of things. The goal is simple: a clean, reliable 4K-ready simulator PC that boots fast, stays cool, and doesn’t need constant babysitting.
