About This Video

Nine weeks after breaking my leg, I finally get back on a bike again—and honestly, it’s a proper “big moment” ride. On 2nd January 2025 I was hit head-on by a distracted e-bike rider at full power, which left me with two fractures in my leg and an eight-night stay in hospital. This video is my first time back out pedalling, and I talk through what that feels like physically and mentally when you’ve been forced off the bike for weeks. For this comeback ride I’m using the Hitway BK6S, which Hitway sent over and it’s going to be genuinely useful for my recovery. The whole point is getting moving again without overdoing it—taking the pressure off the leg, spinning gently, and rebuilding confidence on the road. If you’re going through injury recovery (or you’ve had a knock that’s made you nervous), this one’s about easing back in, listening to your body, and accepting that progress is progress—even if it’s slower than you want.
