In this one I set off for what should’ve been a decent ride, but it turned into one of those proper “failed cycle ride” days. Somewhere along the way I realised I’d lost my DJI Osmo 4, and honestly it’s that horrible sinking feeling you get when you know you’ve messed up and you’re about to spend the rest of the ride second‑guessing where it happened. Instead of just cruising and enjoying the miles, my head’s gone—backtracking, scanning the road, and trying to work out at what point it decided to part company with me. It’s also a reminder of the real-life ups and downs of getting out on the bike in the UK—some rides are bang on, and some are just a lesson. If you’re filming your rides like I do, this is exactly why I’m a bit obsessive about what kit I use and how I mount it, and why I lean on stuff like radar and reliable head units to keep the basics stress-free.
