In this video, I’m sharing how I actually use my Apple Watch day-to-day—because honestly, I never planned on getting one. My parents gifted it to me, and I was kind of forced to find a use for it… but now I genuinely can’t go anywhere without it. I take you through my setup and the two Modular watch faces I use: my everyday face (with my activity rings, date/time, calendar front and center, battery, Done for habits, and Pillow for sleep) and my exercise face (activity rings, calendar, timer presets, Workout, and Spotify). My goal is simple: make my watch a compact, distraction-free extension of my phone. I also talk about the biggest “make or break” tip: customizing notifications. If you don’t tailor them, your watch just becomes another distraction, so I only allow notifications that matter to me—Calendar, Done, Gmail, and Health. Health and fitness is where my Apple Watch helped me the most, especially coming from a super sedentary lifestyle. The activity rings gamify movement in a way that keeps me focused on progress “just for today,” and I love seeing health trends like exercise duration and heart rate. Finally, I share a few underrated ways I use it: recording quick brain dump audio notes with CocoonWeaver, using it as a camera remote, and finding my phone when I inevitably lose it.
