This Yard Was Hiding Something No One Expected… Then the News Showed Up

This disabled man lives on a beautiful property, but the challenge was the back side hadn’t been cleaned up in years. With an amputated leg, it just wasn’t possible for him to get back there on his own, and over time, brush, trees, and debris completely took over — blocking his view and making it unsafe to even walk through. As we started working our way through the property, it was clear just how much work needed to be done. Thick brush, fallen trees, and overgrowth everywhere. It was one of those situations where you can’t help but wonder why no one had stepped in to help sooner, especially knowing he spends so much time inside during the winter months. While clearing the back with the excavator and mulcher, we came across something that immediately caught our attention. Buried in the ground were large bones that didn’t look like deer bones at all. At the time, we honestly didn’t know what we were looking at, and it stopped us in our tracks. As the cleanup continued, things took an unexpected turn when the local news showed up while we were working. Their visit wasn’t about the bones themselves, but it definitely added to the moment and made this cleanup one we won’t forget. This man is truly one of the most kind-hearted people I’ve met, and being able to help him reclaim his property so he can look out his windows and enjoy the scenery again made this all worth it.
