Our Fire Movement: Life in a Year | Financial Freedom VLOG

2021 was a huge fire movement year for us! Our life in a year was dominated by our pursuit of financial freedom and financial independence so that we could retire early! In this video, we reflect on our life in early retirement throughout 2021 to share the ups and downs with you and show what life is really like after early retirement in your thirties! Throughout 2021, we broke ground on our Charleston house after waiting over nine months after we signed the contract with Lennar! We celebrated Easter at Folly Beach for the first time ever! Jerad's family had a Covid reunion after being separated for over year due to Covid. Our Charleston house construction was completed after 14 long months of waiting and renting a tiny apartment for our growing family of five! After 15 years of working for an IT company, Jerad retired at the age of 38 after becoming millionaires at age 35! Life has never been the same and everything changed that day. We spent time with family in North Carolina and even visited Grayson Highlands in the Appalachian mountains. The memories we made are priceless as we revisited a secret wonderland where the wild horses still roam! Halloween was a blast as we celebrated it in our new neighborhood for the first time! We were Blippi, 'fake' Blippi (haha), Anna, Olaf and Elsa from FROZEN! We visit the beautiful and historic Middleton Place in Charleston and celebrate Thanksgiving with a gourmet meal cooked by the pros! For Christmas, we visit the James Island County Park Festival of Lights and meet Anna and Elsa for the first time! We end our 2021 review with a major fire movement decision that will forever change our personal and financial future as we start off 2022 with a huge bang!
