Eligibility Check: - Ensure your Pinterest account is at least three months old and is a business account. - Claim your business website on Pinterest. - Your business website must have been created at least 13 months ago. - Have a Pinterest profile picture, a completed about section, and products that meet merchant guidelines. 2. Connecting Product Catalog: - Export all products from your Squarespace backend as a CSV file. - Use a file converter to make the CSV Pinterest-friendly by entering domain name, country currency, and Google product category. - Download the converted CSV file. 3. Uploading Catalog to Pinterest: - Go to Pinterest, navigate to catalogs and product groups, then data sources. - Add a data source manually by naming it, specifying country region, language, currency, and availability. - Upload the converted CSV file and wait for it to process. 4. Setting Up Conversion Tracking: - Identify and track key events like page visits, adding to cart, and checkout. - Obtain Pinterest base code for tracking page visits and add it to the site-wide code injection header. - Customize the code with your Pinterest ID. - For checkout and add to cart events, copy and paste the respective codes into the appropriate sections of your website. 5. Testing and Verification: - Ensure events are tracking correctly by triggering them on your website. - Check tag health on Pinterest to confirm events are being tracked. - Wait for Pinterest notification confirming completion of the verified merchant program application.
