As a musician or producer, it’s pretty rare to stumble on a virtual instrument that genuinely sparks creativity and gets you out of writer’s block. In this video (part 1 of my “Creativity Unleashed with Heavyocity” series), I do a production deep dive on Heavyocity DAMAGE GUITARS and show how I built a full track idea around one riff that instantly lit the fuse. Everything you hear in the demo is made with Heavyocity instruments, and it’s basically unmixed—no DAW processing other than a little general EQ on the drums and a limiter. I break down the intro, show how I stack DAMAGE GUITARS with matching bass riffs (the keyboard layout makes it stupid fast), and how I add impact with percussive layers and movement using Heavyocity’s Micro FX Filter for that “slingshot” energy into the heavy section. I also talk about practical workflow stuff—like disabling the built-in delay in the Space tab when you need maximum punch—and how changing tempo, riff keys, presets, loop start points, tuning, macros, and master FX (including the Twist modulation) can send the same idea down a completely different tangent in seconds. The big takeaway: DAMAGE GUITARS isn’t just loops—it’s a fast composition engine for aggressive, cinematic guitar-driven music.
