A fairly obscure 37-year-old set of minis coming back is a massive signal that GW’s back catalogue is basically a giant vault of cash, and if they manage it right they’ve got an “infinite money glitch” on their hands—limited reruns of old kits that fans will snap up, especially when the alternative is getting mugged by eBay prices. From there I lay out 10 long out-of-print kits I think could realistically return, and why. I’m talking Tinboys and Runbots (and the weird way they vanished), Man o’ War oddities like the Slaanesh Hellship, Gorkamorka’s Rebel Grot Cutter, Dogs of War’s Lucrecia Belladonna, and the absolute fever dream that is Egrimm van Horstmann on an all-metal two-headed dragon. I also hit the Finecast casualties like the Court of the Archon (yes, the Sslyth), the obvious Old World candidate Gorthor the Cruel, and even Captain Artemis from Inquisitor. The takeaway is simple: if GW can reprint 1987, they can reprint almost anything—and frankly, I hope they do so we can all stop paying ransom money online.
