About This Video

I’m heading back to LEGO 43222 Disney Castle (2023) because after building it, I kept looking at it and thinking: this thing is gorgeous… but it needs more life. The easiest way I know how to improve a display set like this isn’t always a big structural rebuild—it’s adding characters and story moments. So I pulled out a whole bunch of Disney and “Disney adjacent” minifigures (yeah, Marvel counts in my book) and walked through my actual process: sorting what I had, kicking out the random non-Disney stuff (sorry, turkey guy), and figuring out who deserved the best spots. The first must-do was Tinkerbell, because if you know the nighttime shows, you know she’s got to be flying off the top. From there I started building little scenes across the front and then really took advantage of the back “dollhouse” interior—kitchen, stained glass areas, and all the little vignettes that are already built into the castle. I added flyers like Iron Man and Buzz, tucked characters into perfect little gaps (Pinocchio was made for one of those spots), and tried to keep it fun without cramming it so full that it looks ugly. It’s still a work in progress, but it already feels way more complete—and yes, Minnie made it in at the end.
