Hey everybody, what’s going on? In this LEGO City update I’m doing something a little different—this one is mostly a LEGO room upgrade, because honestly the room has been a work in progress and that window was becoming a bit of an eyesore. More importantly, I don’t want sunlight and UV hitting the LEGO over time, because it yellows pieces and slowly damages them. So I pulled down the old curtains, fought through installing blackout panels with command strips and magnets (shout out to Mrs. Old Mountain Bricks—this was definitely a two-person job), and then tested it the next day to see how much light was still sneaking through. Once the blackout was in a much better spot, I moved on to the fun part: hanging a huge vinyl banner with my logo to clean up the background and make the space more presentable for videos and thumbnails. Getting it centered and level was a struggle, but it ended up looking really good—especially once I put the curtains back up for that “presentation / theater” vibe. While I was cleaning up, I also talked through next steps for the nature/campground area—tunnel ideas, water flow possibilities, and the big question: do we shorten or reroute the train track (maybe even go oval) to make the mountain/tunnel work without losing too much developable space?
