It also features a spinning dance floor in the grand ballroom and an ‘enchanted’ fireplace that rotates to reveal the iconic spinning wheel from the Sleeping Beauty movie. About This Video

Hey everybody, welcome into Old Mountain Bricks—today I’m building and reviewing what might be the most magical set of all time: the LEGO Disney Castle 43222 (2023). This is the second iteration of the Disney/Cinderella Castle, and with 4,837 pieces and 25 numbered bags, it’s a big, display-first build that’s packed with details. I walk through the build process from that super solid Technic-style foundation, into the walls, gold accents, curtains, and then all the turrets and spires (which, I’ll be honest, can get pretty repetitive with all the SNOT work). But once you hit the “dollhouse” section, the interior scenes and little dioramas really start to shine. After the build, I do a full tour of the exterior color scheme (I love this 50th anniversary look—those blues, the peachy pink, and the gold accents pop way more than the older gray version). Then I dig into the Easter eggs and room details: stained-glass style reflective stickers, the spinning dance floor, and a bunch of Disney nods like the pumpkin carriage reference, sword in the anvil, Fantasia mop and bucket, and more. I also break down all eight minifigures (four princess couples), plus my biggest wishes—more figs, and especially Mickey and Minnie. Overall, even with a few complaints, I’m really glad I finally pulled the trigger on this one, and I’ve got big plans to cram it full of more Disney stories in my LEGO room/LEGO City.
