LEGO Star Wars battle packs are still some of the best sellers, and in this video I put two 2024 Mandalorian Season 3 sets side by side because LEGO clearly intended them to live together. I speed-build and review 75386 Paz Vizsla and Moff Gideon Battle (289 pieces, originally $40 retail and now retired) and 75373 Ambush on Mandalore Battle Pack (109 pieces, $20 retail and still available). I walk through the build experience, the play features, and what you actually get for the money—because individually, they both kind of feel like “battle pack” style builds. On the bigger set, I really like the floor details, the rock panels, the rotating turret, and especially the slam-door play feature that actually has good friction and locks into place. The smaller Ambush on Mandalore build is where I’m more mixed—it’s basically plate and slopes, so the build itself isn’t really there for me, even though I do like the color combo and the little flying/play handle. Where both sets shine is minifigures and display: Paz Vizsla is the standout, the Imperial Commandos look great (dual-molded helmet, no helmet holes), and LEGO even shows in the instructions how to clip the sets together. Put them together and it feels way more complete—honestly, it probably should’ve been one bigger Mandalorian bunker set from the start.
