About This Video

It’s time for The Pumpkin King. In this video I’m reviewing LEGO Ideas Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas 21351 (2024), and since it’s spooky season, I’m calling it a Halloween set for this review. I do a quick timelapse speed build, talk through how the set goes together across three separate instruction manuals, and then we get into all the hidden details and Easter eggs packed into the town hall, Jack’s house, and Spiral Hill. Build-wise, I had a lot of fun with this one because it’s not just square walls—there are weird angles, curved sections, and that big swirly hill that’s genuinely interesting to assemble. Some parts get a little “gray” (lots of dark and light gray), and Jack’s house has a bit of repetition with the wall sections, but LEGO breaks it up with fun little details like the fountain, the study module, and all the small references from the movie. I also go over the unique moon disc piece, the open-back dollhouse-style access, and why this feels more like a display set than a play set. Finally, I take a close look at the minifigures—some are awesome (the Mayor is a standout, and Jack’s tall body works great), and some are a little lacking (Lock, Shock, and Barrel needed more printing). Overall, I think the build was actually more fun than the finished product, but it’s still a great spooky-season display with some really strong character choices.
