Each year I look forward to LEGO’s Winter Village release, and since we didn’t really get a proper “building” this year, I decided to finally knock a big one off my list: the retired LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Gingerbread House (10267). In this video I crack open the box, run through what’s inside (two instruction manuals, a small sticker sheet, and yes—plastic bags like the older sets), and do a full time-lapse build before diving into my thoughts on the build process and the finished display. What makes this set shine for me is the candy-and-icing detailing—especially the A-frame roof sections with the hinge/Technic bar technique and all those little curved “icing” bits that outline the roof. Up close, there are a bunch of fun touches like the glitter/sparkle window bricks, the “Home Sweet Home” and “Candy Lane” stickers, and a really clever light brick setup where you press the smoke piece to light the outdoor fire. Inside, it’s classic dollhouse style with a cozy kitchen, a two-way fireplace, and even some silly gingerbread-life details like a chocolate bathtub and a chocolate-looking bed. I also show the exclusive gingerbread minifigures (plus the baby and stroller), the side builds like the Christmas tree and snowblower, and then I place the house into my Winter Village bookshelf setup to see how it fits with the rest of my holiday display. Bottom line: if you’re into Winter Village like I am, I definitely recommend tracking this one down—especially if you find it used for a decent price.
