January 1st is always the biggest LEGO release of the year, and in this video I’m breaking down the January 2026 wave—what’s actually worth your attention, what I’m skipping, and what I’d personally wait to grab on sale. I run through highlights across a bunch of themes: Marvel (including those little “vignette” style sets and more Baby Groot), Botanicals and art/landscape builds, LEGO Ideas, Architecture, and a big chunk of LEGO City vehicles that I’m always watching for my own city. I also get into some of the bigger pop-culture stuff like the Stranger Things Creel House (I missed the original set and I’m not doing that again), plus Speed Champions getting more fun with cars like the Back to the Future DeLorean and Lightning McQueen—stickers and all. On the LEGO City side, I call out sets I’m excited for like the recycling truck and cement mixer, plus things I’ll probably pass on (that airport firetruck is a miss for me at $70). Finally, I cover the Gift With Purchase promos: the vintage parade car for the new modular Shopping Street, the Stranger Things GWP with Hopper and Joyce, and the rumored Year of the Horse. My day-one buys are the Creel House and Shopping Street—then we’ll unbox them and work them into the LEGO City.
