What’s going on everybody—welcome into Old Mountain Bricks. In this LEGO City update, I’m basically doing a full “reset” for the start of 2026. The holidays are behind us, Winter Village is officially packed away, and I wanted to clean up the layout, fix a few problem areas, and talk through what I’m focusing on in the next few updates. The big targets are my “nature area” (campground/greenery) where I’m planning to start MILS work and maybe even add a river, plus the back corner behind the modulars and Avengers Tower that’s looking a little barren and needs some love. I also had some real-life “super villain attack” chaos—aka me sliding Christmas storage boxes under the table and absolutely wrecking my Avengers complex. Honestly, maybe it’s for the best because I wanted to redo that section anyway. Then I tackled city maintenance: I pulled every vehicle off the roads, dusted everything, used my go-to cleaning gel to get into the nooks and crannies, and cleaned the streets and buildings as I went. After that, I made the tough call on a couple vehicles getting the boot (for now) and rearranged the rest to freshen up the stories on the streets. The burger truck stays (because I love it), the Mystery Machine stays front and center, and I’m gearing up for a busy year of city builds, set reviews, shopping trips, and travel content.
