When it comes to LEGO Ideas sets, they can be all over the place—but 123 Sesame Street (21324) was a total no-brainer. In this video I take a quick but detailed look at the set (released in 2020 with 1,367 pieces) and walk through why it’s such a nostalgic, wholesome build. I show off the exterior with the iconic steps, the printed 1-2-3 and Sesame Street sign (which I really appreciate), and a bunch of the fun little touches like Elmo’s “Cooking with Oatmeal” book and Oscar’s setup with Slimy. From there I spin the set around dollhouse-style and dig into the rooms and Easter eggs—Hooper’s, Cookie Monster’s apartment, Bert & Ernie’s room (yes, rubber ducky is there), and Elmo’s world. I also talk about the sticker-heavy nature of the set, plus a couple loose builds like the mailbox that doesn’t attach (I’m never a fan of that, but it sits fine). Then I do a closer look at all six characters and the custom molded heads—Bert and Ernie look great, and Big Bird is absolutely the star with that big rubber mold and unique arms. I missed this set at launch, picked it up used, and I’m planning a re-brickable modular-style rebuild so I can work it into my LEGO City.
