Possible New Venture And Chilling with T&T BBQ - Getting My CDL And Becoming a Truck Driver

Just wanted to chill out with T&T BBQ and let people know that I may be starting a new venture as a truck driver, and ending my career as a mortgage banker. I have been a mortgage banker since 1999 and been at my current company since 2002. I have a good friend that has been a trucker since 1993 to guide me through the process, as well as a few other truck drivers that have given me valuable insight. My plan is to start at a training company to get some experience, buy my own truck after a year, and them work on getting my own authority with the help of my wife handling the back end stuff. The main reason I would be interested in getting my own truck is more about control than money as I really don't need a lot of money to maintain because I have been pretty smart with money and investments. I would be getting into the industry with a keen business background, no debt, great credit, decent assets and a frugal mindset. If you are a truck driver please give me any advice you may have as I am always looking for different perspectives from getting my cdl to which company would be the best place to start.
