Fortnite’s new South Park update is officially here, and in this video I break down everything you need to know before it drops tomorrow (Friday, January 9th). I also hopped into the Item Shop to send my daily gift to a subscriber (shout out Tango), and I reminded you guys how to get entered for future gifts—like, sub with notis on, and drop your Epic name in the comments. The biggest W in this update is the South Park mini event pass coming back for the first time in months—and it’s confirmed to be 100% free for everyone. No premium track, no extra V-Bucks path—just 13 free rewards you unlock by doing South Park challenges. We already got a look at a few of the free items like the Backpack of Cred back bling, Terrance & Phillip pickaxe, Cheesy Poofs Rocket Ship emote, and the Imagination Land Airship glider. On top of that, I covered the Item Shop bundle with the five South Park skins (Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Butters) plus a ton of cosmetics, with Towelie coming as a separate item. Gameplay-wise, we’re getting three new mythics/abilities (including Kenny’s token medallion auto-reboot and the Stick of Truth that makes zone follow you), a Cheesy Poofs heal item, Cartman Land replacing Wonky Land, and even a new 5-player squad mode called Quint.
