Fortnite’s OG Battle Pass skins are finally (kinda) coming back, and in this video I break down exactly what’s changing and what that means for you. Before we get into the big news, I hop into the Item Shop to send my daily gift to a subscriber—shout out to Eva Heavi—and I also point out what’s actually worth grabbing (skins/emotes over kicks, obviously). I also run a match while I’m talking through everything, because you already know the lobby always decides to get chaotic at the worst time. The main update: for the first time in Fortnite history, certain old Battle Pass cosmetics can legally return after Epic changed the policy back in the middle of Chapter 5. The important catch is that the original OG passes from Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are still exclusive forever—those aren’t coming back. But starting with the Chapter 5 Season 5 Absolute Doom Battle Pass, older passes can return after roughly 400+ days, and we already have dates mapped out: Absolute Doom on May 2, Chapter 2 Remix on May 30, Chapter 6 Season 1 Hunters on August 21, Chapter 6 Season 2 Lawless on November 2, and the Star Wars Galactic Battle Pass on December 7. I’m honestly a fan of this change—it gives newer players a fair shot at skins they thought were gone for good.
