What’s up y’all, it’s your girl Nelia, and this video is my wash day + detangling test of that viral brush everybody’s been talking about: the Unbrush… and the upgraded one too. I had the original (the one I grabbed from Target) and I had complaints, okay—mine literally cracked early on, and it’s been irking me how hard it is to clean, especially when my hair is wet. I had just taken down a set of mini twists, did some finger detangling first (because I’m not just going in with tools), and then I tested the original on one side and the Unbrush Plus on the other. I used water and my go-to African Pride pre-shampoo (oldie but such a goodie) so I wasn’t out here detangling dry hair for views. The original got the job done, but I could feel some resistance and I had to do more passes. The Unbrush Plus felt more sturdy in my hair, and I didn’t feel like I needed to go over the same section as much—plus it was easier to clean because the bristles are longer and all the same height. My honest take: I do recommend the Plus and I don’t mind it in my arsenal, but I wouldn’t expect some “phenomenal” miracle—you’re not missing out if you skip it.
