About This Video

Hey y’all—semester is OVER, and I am so happy. In this video I’m sharing what’s in my (rolling) bookbag as an adult interior design student. This semester I only took one class on purpose (SketchUp and Photoshop), because life be lifing—health journey, healing, and just trying to do what makes sense for my season. I’m a bag girly anyway, so I wanted to show you what I actually carried to class and why a rolling bag can be a saving grace when you’re hauling supplies. I talk through the basics I kept in my bag: wipes (because yes, I wipe my desk), mints/cough drops, sanitizer, pens, a notebook for steps, a sketchbook (mine is from Dollar Tree), and a school planner for keeping up with projects. I also share my biggest tip for any adult student (and for your kids too): use office hours, ask questions, and trust the process—especially in software classes where the learning curve is real. At the end, I show some of my actual coursework—my final project where I recreated our campus courtyard in SketchUp, then brought it into Photoshop to add realistic grass, people, and shadows. My ideas are always bigger than what I can execute at first, but you can do it, y’all—one step at a time, and I truly believe you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you.
