Hey y’all! In this video I’m sharing some simple (but super fun) scripture writing ideas that help me slow down and really meditate on God’s Word. I show you how I use 4x6 index cards (Dollar Tree or Amazon), a good pen/marker (I love a fine point black), and either my Bible or the Bible app to write out verses based on what I’m going through—joy, peace, healing, anxiety, grief, purpose, finances… whatever season you’re in. I also remind you to check the concordance in the back of your Bible so you can find scriptures by topic and “fat check it” when you’re searching online. Then I get into the creative part: using Tim Holtz Distress Inks, blending tools, and even little makeup-style brushes to add color without making those harsh circles. I talk through how I like to keep the darker color on the outside so I can still read my scripture, and how stickers (Dollar Tree butterflies, florals, scenes—whatever you like) can make it “matchy matchy” with your devotionals and journal spreads. I also share a personal reflection from 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 about God’s strength in our weakness, and how writing things out helps it stick with me way more than just scrolling. My goal is for you to have something you can tape up around your home and carry with you so the Word comes back to remembrance when you need it.
