About This Video

In this video I’m sharing a real life experience that’s been tugging at my heart—what my husband and I did when we literally had no money for food and we didn’t qualify for EBT/SNAP because we were “over” by just a couple dollars. I talk honestly about how traumatizing those seasons were for me, how we relied on the food bank for years, and how God still carried us through. This is not me trying to build my channel on struggle—this is me giving you the practical things I learned the hard way, little by little, by trial and error. I walk you through how to stretch a food budget with a plan (you cannot shop “willy-nilly”), how to shop sales and use store ads/apps, and why Aldi has been my go-to even before it was “the thing.” I share the basics that helped us survive: learning to cook, buying foods that stretch (rice, beans, frozen/canned veggies, whole chicken), and keeping simple seasonings on hand—salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder—because you can do wonders with that. I also talk about hard options people don’t like to say out loud: selling items, yard sales, Marketplace/Poshmark/Mercari, gig apps, work-from-home leads like Rat Race Rebellion, and checking local food banks, churches, and school resources—especially for holiday help. And I end it with what the Lord reminds me in Matthew 6:26 and 6:34: don’t live in worry—give it to Him, and take the next right step.
