Okay y’all, in this video I’m getting ready for a grown-up night out and I’m literally standing there trying to decide what to carry and what to wear. I was torn between carrying my Trail bag or my Kiss Lock bag, and this was my first time carrying either one of them. I also had just gotten my Crystal Jacquard tennis shoes in the mail, and I was so excited about them, but I didn’t want to do tennis shoes for this night—plus I didn’t want my feet to be cold. I ended up styling my outfit with a white sweater and these colored pants, and yes, I know you don’t have to match, but I wanted to this time. We went to Epic Chophouse in Raleigh (Brier Creek) with my husband’s two best friends from third grade and their wives. We usually do an annual Christmas party at someone’s house, but this year we made it an adults-only dinner, and it was really nice. The dining room was beautiful, the atmosphere felt upscale but comfortable, and the customer service was a 10 out of a 10. And y’all—the shrimp was so, so good it could’ve been my whole entree. The steak was flavorful (maybe cooked a little too long) and the baked potato was good, so we’ll definitely be going back—especially for that shrimp again.
