We Made American Scotcheroos in the UK… Here’s What Happened

In today’s video, the H family is diving into a true American classic — Scotcheroos! 🇺🇸 These peanut butter, Rice Krispies, chocolate, and butterscotch bars first appeared on the back of US Rice Krispies boxes in the 1960s and quickly became a Midwestern favorite. But here in the UK, we’d never even heard of them… until YOU suggested we give them a try! 👨‍👩‍👧 Join Mr H, Mrs H, and little Elana in our British kitchen as we melt, mix, and taste test Scotcheroos for the very first time. Expect sticky hands, cheeky chocolate-chip moments, and a big family reaction at the end. Recipe Highlights (US version): 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter 1 cup white sugar 1 cup light corn syrup 6 cups Rice Krispies (or Rice Snaps) ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips ½ cup butterscotch chips 👉 Melt peanut butter, sugar & corn syrup, mix with Rice Krispies, press into a buttered pan, and top with melted chocolate + butterscotch chips.
