After making traditional Mexican horchata and falling completely in love with it, so many of you told us there was another version we absolutely HAD to try… Strawberry Horchata! 🇲🇽🍓 So today, we're putting this beautiful pink drink to the test and finding out whether strawberry horchata can actually beat the original. Can adding fresh strawberries make one of Mexico’s most refreshing drinks even better, or does classic horchata still reign supreme? Using soaked rice, cinnamon, fresh strawberries, and a little help from the beautiful Mexican pitcher our friend Monty sent us from Mexico, we explore the history behind horchata, learn how the recipe evolved from Spain into the beloved Mexican drink we know today, and then gather the family for the all-important taste test.
