If you told us you could drink FLOWERS… we probably wouldn’t believe you 😳 Today we’re trying one of Mexico’s most popular traditional drinks — Agua de Jamaica — made from dried hibiscus flowers. And honestly… we had NO idea what to expect. From the deep red colour to that first sip… this one completely surprised us. Is it sweet? Is it tart? And most importantly… would we actually drink it again? This is part of our journey as a British family discovering amazing food and drinks from around the world — and this one might be one of the most unique yet 🇲🇽 What is Agua de Jamaica? Agua de Jamaica (hibiscus iced tea) is a traditional Mexican drink made by steeping dried hibiscus flowers in hot water, then chilling and sweetening. It’s part of the “aguas frescas” family — refreshing drinks made from fruits, flowers, and natural ingredients.
