BRITS DISCOVER GINGER SNAP COOKIES FOR THE FIRST TIME! 🇬🇧🍪🇺🇸 (Homemade America’s Test Kitchen Ginger Snaps from our UK kitchen!) This little British family has never tried Ginger Snap Cookies before — not once! Back home in the UK, we only really have Ginger Nut Biscuits, which are much harder and crunchier. But you’ve been telling us over and over that we must try real American-style Ginger Snap Cookies… so today, we finally did it! Made fresh in our UK kitchen using the America’s Test Kitchen “Perfect Cookie” Cookbook, these homemade gingersnaps were a complete surprise — soft, chewy, warm, spiced, slightly crackly on top, and full of molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and brown sugar. A totally different experience from the ginger nut biscuits we grew up with! In this video we follow the full ATK recipe step-by-step, creaming butter and sugar in the KitchenAid, adding molasses, mixing in the flour and spices, rolling into sugar, and baking until golden and crinkly. And then comes the fun part — the taste test and our first ever real reaction to American ginger snap cookies!
