The A200 was one of 3 new entry models from Sony, all using CCD sensors. This model uses the 10.2 megapixel CCD, also used in the Nikon D80 and D200 (with some differences) The camera offered Steadyshot stabilisation up to 3.5 stops, when modern budget cameras these days are devoid of this feature. It's compatible with many affordable A Mount lenses from Sony and Minolta.
