This version comes with the newly re-designed ST-10X ball head but is also available with a fluid/video head, or just the legs on their own. A smaller 5 section version (ST-125) is also available. These tripods are designed as compact/travel, or general-purpose models, with a few interesting areas where they have saved some space/weight. I show the tripod in detail, up close, and discuss some of the design's areas, as well as suggestions/improvements. The ideal tripod for mirrorless cameras and compact DSLRs. The tripod is protected against water, dirt and dust. It has a newly designed lock mechanism for comfortable operation. The tripod tubes are made of carbon (weight reduction, stability gain, low vibration). Another special feature of this tripod is the triangular central column. The triangular design prevents twisting and reduces vibrations. Of course, the column can be mounted inverted for ground level shots. The legs can be adjusted in three click stops. Each leg consists of 4 sections with 3 sealed ring locks. The rubber feet and the removable metal spikes allow the tripod to stand securely on any surface.
