Amazon - https://amzn.to/4hvJqUK In this short video I look in more detail at the Nitecore EDC23, the latest model from the company in their "wedge style" series. Very popular range, with some useful improvements, this time they bring a new more compact shorter version with the EDC23, yet still remains a decent Turbo mode of 2500 lumens, and has a 1500mAh built in battery. I take a look at it, and talk about areas I like and would change. The latest addition to Nitecore’s EDC series, the EDC23 is the smallest design yet, measuring 102.8 mm in length and 13.5 mm in depth, without compromising on grip, performance or durability. It weighs just 101g making it the ideal light for everyday carry and applications that require a compact, lightweight and high-power torch. The flashlight is operated by a dual switch interface; the two-stage tactical button turns the light on, off and adjusts the brightness level and the two-stage mode button accesses turbo and strobe modes. The EDC23 also features Rapid Lock for fast and easy lockout mode – simply slide to half or full lock. The multi-functional OLED display screen provides the brightness level, battery voltage, remaining runtime, power remaining and lockout mode to ensure you have all the information you need to keep the torch running as required. To keep this powerful flashlight as cool as possible, it features an Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module and a semi-embedded heat dissipation design to reduce the surface temperature. The aluminium dissipation plate is sandwiched between stainless steel front and rear shells with a high strength carbon fibre composite frame, providing a lightweight, rigid structure. Brightness Levels: Turbo: 2500 lumens High: 1100 lumens – 1 hr 30 mins runtime Mid: 200 lumens – 3 hrs 45 mins runtime Low: 65 lumens – 11 hrs runtime Ultralow: 15 lumens – 39 hrs runtime Plus Strobe mode (2500 lumens). Maximum beam distance 280 meters, waterproof to IP54 and resistant to impacts up to 2 meters.
