In my hunt for an affordable alternative to a premium compact camera, I decided to set a low budget of around 200 ($/£/€), with a larger than 1" sensor, lens included. Impossible surely? With high used prices on Fujifim X70 and Ricoh GR II and III and now the IV cameras, (X70 is 800+ on MPB and the Ricoh ones higher. Of course there are other options, but I wanted a model with a build in flash, simple touch controls and small enough to carry around anywhere. My search came up with a Canon EOS M series camera, the EOS M10. and this video explored that camera in more depth to detail the potential pros and cons of this budget larger sensor camera. Perhaps there is no need to buy high prices compact models with some of the small mirrorless ones around at much lower prices, and you can change the lens too, and clean the sensor (a problem on some GR models) Why spend 800-1000 on a premium compact? These videos are very time consuming to make and I do so to help people find gear that might work for them, even older items which can often be of interest.
