When the light starts thinning out (for me, roughly September through February), I notice my tarot practice shifts. In this video I walk you through the decks I reach for most in the darker half of the year—decks that feel grounding, a little more shadow-forward, and honestly just better suited to long nights, introspection, and slow seasonal reflection. This is Part 6 of my Tarot Collection 2025 series, and it’s very much a “here’s what actually gets used” kind of collection chat. I share a mix of tarot and a couple of companion tools that support my practice when I’m doing deeper self-work: decks like Architect’s Tarot, Spirit Keepers (OOP), Goblin Market, Tattoo Tarot: Ink & Intuition, Tarot of the Cloisters (OOP), and the Thoth. I also include decks that help me move through liminal, threshold energy—Tarot of the 78 Doors is perfect for that—as well as prompts and oracles I like for shadow-oriented journaling, like the Spread Deck: Shadow Edition, Runic Odyssey (Dark Edition), and The Surrender Cards.
